Dear Friends,

REF: Request For School Fees Support

I am writing to request for school feed support.

I am a first-year student at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, taking an Education Science (Maths and Chemistry with IT).

I come from a family of nine sibling who are raised by a single mother who is a small-scale farmer. After the death of my father, my mother worked hard to put food on the table for us, but she could not support my studies with my other siblings, two in high school and two in junior secondary school, it’s a struggle raising our school fees.

My secondary school was funded by the unbound Rarieda Sub Project, who only support the secondary school academies. It was a journey being in and out of school, but still worked hard, because I promised myself, I had to get an admission into an university. This was an encouragement to me knowing that I have to change situation back at home and support my community.

This zeal for education always pushed me to volunteer in our local hospital and tutor local school pupils during school holidays, specially those from Chinda Junior Secondary School, who would often be kicked out of school because of luck of school fee.

Indeed, luck of school fees, does often make me wonder whether I will ever make my dreams come true. For this reason, it’s my prayer, desire and ambition that in future, I will have an orphanage, where I can care for the orphans in my community and provide them with education.

Finally. I am requesting your support to help me fulfil my dream and future desire, when joining I applied for help, which paid part of my school fees; the rest were raised by well wishers after failing to clear all my school fees. I will be grateful for any support offered to me.

Thank you in advance for any support, I promise to never disappoint you and to continue beyond being a secondary school teacher to a Phd holder and a lecturer in one of our fine universities, if not outside of Kenya.

Yours Faithfully,

P. O. Odage
